People at Bihar's Patna railway station were shocked when an adult film started playing on the television screens installed there. The incident reportedly took place around 9:30 a.m. Sunday.
People at the station, who were confused when an adult movie started playing on the station's television screens instead of advertisements, filed a complaint with the State Railway Police (GRP) and the Railway Protection Force (RPF).
Blurry clips of the incident went viral on Twitter. The clip was said to be played for 3 minutes.
Dutta Communication, the agency in charge of displaying advertisements on station screens, has been blacklisted by the railways and fined. The GRP postponed the event, after which the RPF contacted Dutta Communication and asked them to stop broadcasting the porn clip in front of hundreds of people at the station, including women and children.
Railway officials swung into action later and an FIR was also registered against Dutta Communication. The contract that mandated the agency to run advertisements on television screens installed at railway stations has also been terminated by railway officials, according to sources. Officials are also questioning why the porn clip was specifically played on platform number 10.
